Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici has come out swinging in defence of the club’s transfer policy.

A difficult January included tepid performances on the pitch and tough negotiations off it, but Spurs ended the month with two new signings.Arnaut Danjuma and Pedro Porro both signed on loan, the latter of which will become permanent in the summer after weeks of talks with Sporting Lisbon.fans levelled at the set-up at the club. However, managing director Paratici has insisted he will not buckle to pressure.

“Every transfer window we want to add two or three players to our squad, to our plan. We want to sign just players who can add something to us, not just sign players because we have to sign players or because we’re under pressure to sign players. That’s not our style.Paratici joined Tottenham in June, 2021 and in 18 months has overseen 12 permanent signings, as well as a move for Dejan Kulusevski, who is on loan but there is an option to buy him.

However, there is a cloud of uncertainty over Paratici’s future at the club following a two-and-a-half-year ban for his role in Juventus’ illegal dealings when he was at the Turin outfit. The 50-year-old denies any wrongdoing and is set to appeal the decision from the Italian Football Association.
