Dr Khan had recently moved to Houston from the Seattle area ‘She wanted to go somewhere it was sunny,’ her older brother Wajahat Nyaz told KHOU11. ‘She moved out here and she liked it, liked the sun and the warm weather.’ The Council on American-Islamic Relations office in Houston said they were following the case closely and were in dialogue with law enforcement.
