P&O Ferries vessel has been detained in Northern Ireland for being 'unfit to sail'.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency held the boat for 'failures in crew training'. They said 'vessel will remain under detention until issues are resolved by P&O'. Grant Shapps tweeted that the firm 'won't be able to rush crew through training'
Another typical story of greedy capitalists trying to maximise profits hiring inexperienced cheap labour compromising passengers and crew safety.

P&O ferry detained after crew familiarisation and training failures, UK coastguard saysThe Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the European Causeway was held 'due to failures on crew familiarisation, vessel documentation and crew training'. Thats a cheap shot. Not useful.... but I am sure, they too - were looking out for the safety and comfort of the people. Who, in their right mind as a passenger, would want to get on a ferry who's company pays peanuts to people who don't know : 1. The layout of the ferry. 2. Haven't had time to learn the safety protocol's. 3. Potentially don't know the water they sail in. Monkey's is who! European Causeway is a little shoo of just 20,000 gross tonnes. If they failed on her, how are they supposed to manage with a 60,000 gross tonne vessel like the Pride of Hull. Pride of Hull is a completely different and more complex beast.
