Outrage over planned £85million Disney-style 'D-Day Land' theme park

Plans to build a 'D-Day Land' theme park in northern France have caused outrage. The theme park would feature battle re-enactments and sound-and-light shows. Opponents said park would be an insult to those killed and wounded on D-Day.

We shall defend our Theme Park, whatever the cost may be, we shall ride on the Roller-coasters, we shall ride on the Big Dippers, we shall ride on the Dodgems, and on the Ferris-wheel, we shall never surrender!

Historical tours, yes 100%, but 'theme park' would be severely bad taste.

I'd rather more effort go into providing more info about the area. There's bunkers and trench lines completely abandoned and underground

This could keep the WW2 veterans memory alive despite being for profit. People in future generations need to learn from history in order to prevent it happening again. Don't just dismiss it.

You just know the Mail would be all in favour of it if it was happening in Kent.
