Oti Mabuse's life after Strictly - from 'crying in shower' to 'miracle' baby

Despite doubters questioning the professional dancer's choice to quit the show, she says she has no regrets and has built an incredibly successful television career.Oti Mabuse is one of the contestants in the new season of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.But she previously revealed the devastating reason she quit the BBC show which made her name in the UK, as she opened up on the"dark days" she experienced due to the pressure she was under.

Oti said she knew her departure came as a shock to Strictly fans, adding:"I came from the biggest show on television. Every single human being on this planet, in this country, loves Strictly. People are obsessed.

Oti, whose sister Motsi is a Strictly judge, announced last August she was expecting her"miracle" first child with husband Marius. The pair welcomed their baby daughter at Christmas after revealing that they had been"trying to conceive for a while".Oti told her Instagram followers:"Our 'yes' year is getting better and better and so is our little family. We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news.

She added:"We went every day. I got on with it and I had a lot of support from my family and friends, keeping me positive."And appearing on This Morning in February, she opened up to Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle about how she’s found the whole experience “empowering” and it’s made her “fall more in love” with Marius, though she admitted she’s trying to get used to the level of “exhaustion” of dealing with a newborn baby for the first time.
