The Oscar-winning screenwriter of The King's Speech David Seidler has passed away aged 87, his manager has announced, with a sad statement shared on social media

Screenwriter David Seidler has passed away aged 87, his longtime manager has announced. David, who work the Oscar-winning film The King's Speech, was fly-fishing in New Zealand when he sadly passed away, a cause of death is yet to be announced.

Seidler’s The King’s Speech won Best Original Screenplay, Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor at the 2011 Academy Awards. The film also won seven BAFTAs, including Best Film, Outstanding British Film, and Best Original Screenplay.
