Yes, been there many, many times over the last 50 years, a must anytime I’m in Liverpool. I lay claim to performing in one of the urinals when entered a Japanese coach party with cameras 😳

Fully deserved, for the urinals alone

Yes! Julian and Rhodri did 12 days of Christmas song there on their night out. They were 9 Lords a leaping!!!

Such a fabulous building and a fantastic pub!

Hopefully extra restrictions of Grade I listing might encourage the Nicholsons chain to sell it. I maintain the Phil is the worst pub inside the best building in the georgian quarter. Terribly kept beer, overpriced and not all that clean. Perfect for an independent takeover.

Been there many times, great boozer

Excellent and well deserved. Liverpool has so many beautiful listed buildings and important architectural moments. A mention for the Turner Prize-winning Granby Streets project. Stirs the soul.

TheGuideLpool Who fancies a bevvy there this evening?

TheGuideLpool DeannaThomas Ornate!

World class no doubt!

It is beautiful, the gates and the marble toilets, beautiful pub.

The finest urinals I have ever had the pleasure of performing in.

'There is no place in the world finer for a pee than the ornate gents' room of the Philharmonic.'; yeah, but I wonder how it competes with Wetherspoons' 'award-winning' toilets?

Wonderful pub always make a trip there when visiting! historicpubs liverpool listed amazingloos

Now that is a pub!

Went there a few months back, as it was the meeting point for the 'Shiverpool' tour. Amazing place. The tour was fun too.

Quite right too! PhilharmonicPub
