Organ donation is a precious act - don't let it become an expected one

The year 1973 has a strong claim to being the moment when Britain’s governing class stopped caring about individual choice. That was when Parliament decided to make it compulsory for motorcycle riders to wear helmets.

TWWelsh Stripping people of the power to be virtuous? Don't worry darhling. Social media makes up for that.

TWWelsh This is complete rubbish. People can opt out if they wish. At times of high emotional stress relatives are not the people to make decisions. I have long been on the donor register. It's my choice, not my relatives, however much I love them and they love me.

TWWelsh The purpose of organ donations is to save lives, not to give people opportunities to prove they are virtuous.

So now the state will be able to hack people's bodies parts out, without even having the people's consent, what a dreadful society.
