Online shopping makes many high street jobs unviable, say Next boss

The Next chief has said the shift to online shopping triggered by the lockdown has made thousands of traditional retail jobs unviable.

The large chain stores have been extracting money from customers for many years with less service, creativity of their merchandise and honestly don’t give us any more than online stores. What is required is an experience which they have lost. Come up with something new.

and expedited by a corrupt government locking down it's citizens and banning them from visiting shops for four months before installing draconian social distancing measures

This has been known for years... time to revamp business rates and rents before it's too late
