One in three people spotted hate speech in online video platforms in the past three months, a report by Ofcom found.
That includes making sure the rules banning harmful content are clear, and having better and more transparent reporting systems.media captionOfcom also said that video sites hosting pornography “should put in place effective age-verification systems to restrict under-18s’ access to these sites and apps.”collapsed in 2019 after repeated delays and obstaclesBreaches of the rules could lead to fines or even the suspension of the service in the UK, Ofcom warned.
Bill Howe from Stop Hate UK said that Ofcom's findings are "unsurprising", based on anecdotes the charity hears - and that the split of what kinds of hateful speech were reported "also feels accurate and to some extent mirrors" offline hate incidents reported to the charity. But he added that regulation and enforcement "can only be considered" as part of a wider education or citizens' programme to address under-reporting of hate speech and other issues.
It all depends on what you consider 'hate' That's why it's impossible to police. Sticks and stones.
It's a shame ppl hate others simply because they are different
I didn't.
That's because 'hate speech' counts as saying sex is determined by chromosomes. 😬
Given our hypersensitive modern society of easily triggered snowflakes I’m not surprised everything is being REPORTED as hate speech. We live in a world where JK Rowling got accused of “transphobic hate speech” simply for saying that biological women menstruate...so yeah...😒
Only 3 they're not looking hard enough..
What on earth is 'hate speech'?

There’s is only one way to stop all the bile being posted and that’s deleted the platforms they are being posted on, nothing else will stop this.
higher I suspect as its seems what these people disagree with or don't like what is said. The BBC use method to brainwash folk to a single voice. It been tried before nothing new. Coloured folk use the BBC for the same reason.
grow a pair and get on with life ffs
Thinking that only women can have their periods is considered as transphobia. Not supporting BLM is considered as racism. Taking it from there, anything negative targeted towards anyone not white heterosexual males is considered as 'hate'.
