My GP, Has started Smoking again after 10 yrs. With stress & concern over the health time awaiting, Cancers etc & mental health. Unable to access services within the NHS. And no Covid reports in the area..

Well the nhs and government need to tell doctors to get all their surgeries open across the who6of Britain and stop keep hiding behind the phone.
I have phoned and phoned and phoned. I went down there and they were talking to me through glass doors-wouldn't let me in. Was put off before COVID because it took 2 weeks for appntment. By the time it came I was usually better.

And still, people shut down any attempt to start a conversation about introducing modest charges to see the doctor. This is what happens in almost every other country, it reduces needless demand and incentivises the doctor to provide good access.

Yeah, don't get this wrong but you can't get an answer at doctors. You are knackered as well if you have an Accident and need emergency care. It's only a covid service now. No point paying NI if you are working class.
Just plain wrong! Telephone appointments only. You phone in, receptionist determines whether you get a call back from a nurse to discuss your symptoms and then decide whether a GP will phone you to discuss symptoms. I gave up. No routine health check ups.

Why even bother visiting any gp or hospital as all you get is fobbed off, specially being treated for something that isn't even true. Even phoning a gp practice, how can they tell your symptoms over the phone. This is why in person should be and always.

Amazing people who have no access to GP’s when plenty of people I know have had no problem. Must be luck of the draw. I’ve been in hospital twice for tests since lockdown as I care about my general health even during covid

My GP surgery is still closed as far as I'm aware. Went along on Saturday for flu jab & forgot to ask. Phone appts have been OK for me, both GP & hospital. I was very sceptical but I had good experiences so far. I am pretty articulate but I worry about those who need more support

Bollocks 1 in 3 can't get a doctors appointment since the coronavirus started. People haven't put off seeing the doctor it's just doctors have closed the door and the receptionist is running the place. They seem to think that they have any rights as who or can't see the doctor.
Only appointments available at our practice are for those they get paid extra for ie. BP, flu jab, cholesterol / diabetes blood tests etc & all carried out by nurses not GP 🙄 ... Might get GP phone appointment but you’ll wait at least 3 wks after you’ve got past receptionist😂😡
