A nurse with coronavirus has died after spending weeks in intensive care.The death of the mother-of-three has been confirmed to the BBC by Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust's chief executive Richard Beeken.
Mr Beeken said they had hoped to take Ms Nasreen off the ventilator as she had started to show signs of improvement but she then deteriorated. Speaking to Sky News early last week, Ms Nasreen's sister Kazeema, 22, said her normally fit and health sister had been on annual leave when she first started showing symptoms.Fellow nurse Rubi Aktar has paid tribute to Ms Nasreen on social media:"She was the most loveliest, genuine person you could ever meet, she went above and beyond for everyone she met.West Midlands:"Such tragic news this morning, my heart goes out to Areema's family and three children.
"Frontline workers across the West Midlands are risking their lives day after day to protect us, the least we can do to help them is follow government advice."
Such sad news and what a loss. How many NHS staff died on the same day? More than 2 angels lost. The government doesnt know what it is doing. Still no PPE, staff are being told to buy their own hand soap. God help all NHS staff at this time

Not different from frontline who had suffered the same fate. I sympathise with the family of Areema Nasreen over her death. The late staff at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust had put all of her best into this fight, and we can only get her deed immortalised by wiping out the scourge.
My 3 children are all frontline NHS workers and I’m incredibly proud of them all, I also worry about them constantly.
