Are you including nurse associates and assistant within these figures? If you are they are not the same as registered nurses, please can you kindly clarify as the roles are very different as are the responsibilities. RCN NMC

Another very poor headline from the BBC. At worst it’s a straight lie. At best, misleading. Please change it to reflect the truth, which is that this is government spin.

Good numbers right!!!...but now overseas nurses must need to prove their efficiency regardless they are on temporary register and working unsupervised due to shortage of permanent staff nurses....joke...

nmcnews Does this include nurse associates too? So that's a recent addition in the last year or so. That's going to have a big impact on the numbers. It would be interesting to see if the UK trained nurses has increased year on year?

nmcnews So we’re celebrating that it took a global pandemic to stop people quitting the profession like they usually do? Retirement and burnout are still the main reasons to leave UK nursing. As 47% of the register can retire in the next 10 years (300,000) what’s the plan?

It this including the temporary’Covid’ register? The retired who volunteered to TEMPORARILY be added back to the NMC register? And the ‘new’ registrants who were added earlier that normal .. meaning in 6 months there will be a slump again?

And by that you mean all the students that have been forced to enter the industry before the end of their uni 🤷🏼‍♂️

Make no mistake, Conservatives contributed towards the loss of live amongst NHS Staff. Additionally, their confidence of a 2nd wave will be a contributing factor towards additional vacancies. Yet, many across the nation will vote these thugs again. When will they ever learn 🤔

Of course there is as they asked retired etc to come back and help and they all have to be on the register! They’ll be binned off as soon as COVID is over and have a deficit! More classic Tory Spinshit!!! 😩

If ey never hud learning Diffukultys and mental health issues and problems I'd of luvd to be ah nurse xxx 💓💓💓

Damn those wicked wicked Tories.

Going to need them in a few months.
