Yoana, a British citizen who moved from Bulgaria to England twelve years ago, describes it as"mission impossible".Rent rises have meant added financial pressure forcing her to move home, in addition to energy bills, the cost of living, and house price inflation overall,
He says if the sector doesn't work for a landlord"they will simply sell, meaning there's one less home for a tenant".
It their plan
Get your self a good man to achieve your dreams
You are not alive dear 🙏😢
Rent is very expensive in South Africa, as well. It is general practice to put rental up by 10% every year! I don't.
You can get a mortgage for a home at 4 to 4.5 times your income. So it's not out of reach unless you live in London and the Home Counties.
You want cheaper rent? Stop forcing landlords out of the sector. You’ll all learn when there are no landlords left, you still can’t buy and you are living with your parents again.
Home ownership will soon be a thing of the past. They don't want people owning anything.
Erm, everyone has to save to buy a home, it’s a FACT, nothing is free
She forgot to say she is sending money to her family back to her own country.
If you’re working two jobs and can’t afford a rent increase it’s time to start living within your means. Which is something all the wetwipes crying about the “cost-of-living” need a lesson in. If your rent is too high, move. Move cities, go home. Either is acceptable.
Not only rents. Everytime I go to the supermarket the prices for the same goods are higher. E.g. 0.69 some weeks ago; now 0.79, & it keeps going up in a matter of weeks. Landlords keep getting blamed when they pay massive bills, especially with this feudal system called leasehold
And still no social housing built compared to after WW2. Tht building project is now needed again & not in 5 yrs time !
Good. Being a landlord is an inherently immoral position. Hoarding property and then selling it back to people at inflated prices is one thing. Add on to that the fact that they’re protected by laws they lobbied for that allows them to treat tenants like crap.
Cashing out before legislation makes it difficult to remove tenants not paying or wrecking the home
Makes sense. Rent cap inevitable with rising costs squeezing margins. Also an imminent housing market crash, cash in at the top. The extra supply could push prices down further.
