Police said they were causing 'nuisance'

Police were called to a supermarket after a group of teenagers abused staff and customers. Officers were called to the Farmfoods on the Oak Tree Lane Estate in Mansfield on the evening of Thursday, July 21 after several reports of anti-social behaviour.

Mobile patrols in the area arrived at the shop after a group of teenagers caused a 'nuisance'. Officers then dealt with a small fire and attended complaints over bikes and quad bikes swerving on the road. On Facebook, Mansfield District Police said: "This evening the Mansfield Operation Reacher Team have been conducting mobile patrols around the Oak Tree Lane Estate following several incidents of Antisocial Behaviour in the area. These included a group of teenagers causing a nuisance outside the Farmfoods Store being abusive towards staff and members of the community.

"Officers then attended a small fire which had been set off in the heath. Thankfully officers managed to put out the fire before Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue arrived which again wasted their valuable time. Reacher Officers then attended calls of several electric bikes and quad bikes swerving in the road and riding in an antisocial manner putting other motorists in danger.

"The Mansfield Reacher Team along with the Safer Neighbourhood Team are committed to tackle ASB issue and will continue to patrol these areas until those responsible are dealt with accordingly. We would like to reiterate, 'Do you know where your children are and what they are up to?'"
