Software firm Ideagen will make redundancies as part of a restructuring process which started earlier this year

Jobs will be lost as a Nottinghamshire firm restructures in a bid to make its international business operations "fit for growth". Software firm Ideagen, which is based on Ruddington Fields Business Park and works with companies in regulated sectors like healthcare, aviation, and pharmaceuticals, will make redundancies as part of a restructuring process which started earlier this year.

The company told employees in February that it would be restructuring to ensure it was "working effectively, efficiently and in a way that can scale" and explained this would likely result in job losses. The consultation period for impacted staff has now concluded and a number of roles will be cut as a result, but an Ideagen spokesperson said staff based in Nottingham would have a job until the Autumn and could apply for other roles within the company.

A spokesperson for Ideagen said: "Colleagues are being encouraged to apply for roles within the revised structure, and unless they choose to leave earlier, impacted individuals in Nottingham have a job at Ideagen until the Autumn and we remain hopeful that between now and then colleagues will be able to find alternative roles within the company."We're working to support everyone involved with finding the next step in their career, whether that's with Ideagen or elsewhere.

According to Ideagen Limited's Companies House filings, the group had around 1,000 employees globally in the year up to April 2022. The company, which also has offices in America, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Bulgaria and India, previously said its restructuring would not significantly impact operations from its Nottingham headquarters and other locations.

A letter, which previously outlined the proposed changes to employees, said there would likely also be role reductions in Asia–Pacific, North America, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The notice sent to staff explained the customer division of the firm had to be centralised so Ideagen was "fit for growth", as it was currently spread across multiple different teams around the world that used different processes and standards.
