A main road in a Nottinghamshire town is currently closed due to a police incident. Nottingham Road in Stapleford is closed "until further notice" as a Nottinghamshire Police incident is ongoing.
Bus operator Trent Barton issued an update on X to warn passengers about the diversions that are in place as a result. It said: "Due to a Nottinghamshire Police incident in Stapleford, Nottingham Road is closed until further notice. "Our i4s are having to divert & we are unable to serve Albert Street & Cemetery Road towards Sandiacre & Derby and the Old Rock towards Nottingham. We apologise for any inconvenience."
The nature of the incident has not been confirmed but Google Traffic says the closure is related to a crash on nearby Mount Street. Casualties have also not been confirmed.
