Michael O'Neill hailed his young side after claiming a positive 1-1 draw in Romania on Friday night. Jamie Reid scored on his debut with a fine goal in the seventh minute, but that was cancelled out by Dennis Man's equaliser in the 23rd minute.

Northern Ireland held out comfortably against Euros-bound Romania to continue on an upward curve, following November's 2-0 win over Denmark in the European qualifiers.
