A driver escaped unharmed after their car ended up on its roof at a main interchange in Telford.

Firefighters from Telford Central were scrambled to Randlay Interchange with the A442 near Telford Town Centre at 9.30pm on Sunday to reports of a crash.

When two fire engines arrived at the scene with an operations officer they found thankfully that no-one was trapped.A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said:"This incident was one car on roof, no persons trapped, crews made vehicle safe."A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:"We were called at 9.49pm last night to reports of an overturned car on the A442 in Telford. A paramedic officer attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found the driver of the car. He was assessed and was uninjured. He received self care advice and was discharged at the scene.”

Gosh, these self driving cars that end up on their roof all by themselves. Somebody ought to complain to the manufacturers as clearly it is nothing to do with the drivers.
