Nightmare on Elm Street actor John Saxon has died

The actor and martial artist was best known for his work in westerns, action films and horror movies.

His most recent project was the 2017 comedy The Extra, which centered on a bad boy movie star who decided to work as a film extra as a prank.Credit: Getty Images - GettyThe Brooklyn, New York native was best known for starring as Roper in 1973’s Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee and for playing Lt. Thompson in 1984’s A Nightmare on Elm Street and in 1987’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 3.
