Glasgow's shipbuilding history is set to continue thanks to Rishi Sunak and the UK Government writes CllrTKerr

While the SNP are blowing millions and crippling daily life for our island communities, the UK Government has stepped up yet again and delivered for Scotland.

Given the current cost-of-living crisis, news that work is secure at these sites will be of huge relief for the skilled workers and their families at this time. Protecting the nation is any government’s first priority and to do that you need not only the manpower but world-class warships like the Type 26 Frigates as well.

This sort of multi-billion level of investment in Clydeside sites is only possible because we are part of the United Kingdom. Even Nicola Sturgeon had to welcome this news, even if it truly exposed which government is better at delivering on shipbuilding once and for all.
