Nick Montgomery had been warned about Hibs dressing room poison

Another Hibs manager has bitten the dust. A short and rather blunt statement released this morning confirmed Nick Montgomery and his coaches, Sergio Raimundo and Miguel Miranda, had been relieved of their duties.

When Montgomery came in and identified his squad he made it clear that the majority of these players weren’t anywhere near the level required for a first-team player at Hibs.

That was the downfall for Montgomery because if he had brought in at least one quality centre half then his team would have made the top six. Instead they were denied by a stoppage time equaliser at Motherwell and that was when the Hibs board put the final nail in Montgomery’s coffin.
