'It really could have been worse and I'm lucky to be alive. It’s freaked me out but someone was definitely looking over me.'

A 23-year-old woman, who was injured in an alleged ‘hit-and-run collision' in West Belfast on Halloween night, has said she's "lucky to be alive".

The young woman said the driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and instead made off in the direction of the city centre. The woman was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment to her head and leg. She is appealing for the driver to come forward. "It really could have been worse and I'm lucky to be alive. It’s freaked me out but someone was definitely looking over me."A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police in west Belfast are appealing for information following a report of a hit-and-run collision in the Glen Road area.
