Schools are facing a crisis in education funding, the leaders of seven bodies representing all schools and the four main churches in Northern Ireland warn.

Leaders of seven bodies representing all schools and the four main churches have written a letter warning of a crisis in education funding.

The chief executive of the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education, Roisin Marshall, has also signed, as has the head of the Irish-medium body Comhairle na Gaelscolaíochta Maria Thomasson, and the Catholic Schools' Trustee Service Fintan Murphy. "Without question, reduction in funding and ongoing under investment will negatively impact the quality of education of every child and young person living in NI," they continued.

Four main churches 😂😂😂 They would need to do one out of the sector completely

Kids in run down 40 year old prefabricated buildings leaking rainwater, computers with Windows 2000 or XL, little WC facilities,no Hall or General purpose rooms...

Integrated education would be cheaper and free up money for all the other stuff kids need.

robbeorn This is the silent crisis of this generation. Provision is already stretched beyond its means. Teachers are burning out, expectation and workload is already unmanageable and it’s to be done with £110 MILLION less. If nothing changes, nothing changes.

The four main churches?! Education should be secular!

10 projects in Northern Ireland to get £71million levelling-up boostThe £71m Levelling Up grants for Northern Ireland will cover everything from new waterfront gardens, to women's rugby and an iconic old cinema Any chance of reassigning the £2.3m for Belfast International to staff and improved security? Breaking news! Some of the taxes the government takes off us are getting spent here and branded as “levelling up” as if this is some kind of computer game It's not that these aren't nice to have, but it seems odd to be spending money on waterfront gardens when people are struggling to keep their families warm and fed. I do get that it's levelling up money, but how does this address levelling up?
