A Co Antrim dad is hoping to make his young son's dreams come true next month when WWE Live returns to Belfast’s SSE Arena with some of the world’s greatest wrestling stars.
It was during this time that the wrestling fan received the first of over 20 blood transfusions which he would continue to receive over the next few years. Eleven days later, Oliver and his family travelled to King’s College Hospital in London, where a stent was fitted to the artery in his bowel which would get the blood flowing properly for him. He received his last blood transfusion in January of last year.
Dylan explained: "Ollie was put forward for a wish with a charity by his doctors in the Royal and it was for him and his six-year-old brother, Carson, to meet his wrestling hero, Cody Rhodes. "But I'm wondering if by using the power of people, we could help make his wish of meeting his idol and getting a picture at the event at the SSE on April 20th a reality."
Dylan added: "Ollie was back in the Royal last week getting the wee line in his heart changed due to a bad infection but he's back in Coleraine hospital finishing his course of antibiotics.
