NHS Nightingale in London will be mothballed in days as success in fighting the spread of coronavirus leave the 4,000-bed hospital nearly empty.
At its peak NHS Nightingale – which has sister facilities across the UK – is believed to have only treated as many as 51 patients. However, thankfully due to the public widely adhering to the government’s social distancing guidelines this has not been the case.
What a total waste of money
This is good news ffs! It was there if we needed it and thank God we didn't. Christ, some people on here must have wanted to see it full of seriously ill people gasping their last! 🤬
I’d say a measure of success of how the disease has been contained and managed by the NHS. I suppose these people moaning don’t have insurance, waste of money eh...

I’m not sure why it hasn’t been used but isn’t that a good thing? Or should we have been hoping for an “at full capacity” type update 🤷🏻♀️
Only an idiot would criticise the building of this as a precaution.....we have fire engines airports...but hopefully never need them....it will only be politically minded game players that will complain about wasting money etc....these hospitals were & are 1 of the success's
