The patient's child filed a complaint to the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman, with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde asked to apologise to the family for the incident.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has apologised after a patient in their care fractured their hip when falling out of bed.
