NHS England has announced it is to end the deal that gave it access to more than 90% of private hospitals' beds, staff and equipment.
However, it plans to move towards local agreements with the private sector in what it describes as the"next phase of the response to coronavirus". But this block booking has cost an estimated £400 million a month, whether or not the facilities were used. But one private sector source says it"came out of the blue" and appears to be at odds with the Prime Minister's suggestion that some of a recent £3bn allocation for the NHS would be used for a continued deal with independent providers.
Some of the private sector capacity available to the NHS was used for cancer and non-urgent operations between May and July.by the end of the year, though NHS England aims to have non-urgent services back to 90% of pre-Covid levels by December.

Dee45490051 But second wave blah blah blah. Oh another great con. We have been had, and still are being had. Wake up.
Why. Because Hospitals are standing half empty. After they kicked everyone out to die at home ?
We haven’t had a properly functioning NHS in months. Not because of the cold virus, but our hysterical reaction to it 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇
This virus is still here but the government seems to have moved on and it is everybodies problem but not there's. What a bunch of twats
This PM and government do not give a flying fuck about this country and more importantly the NHS. So come the winter we will be back to square one but it will not be the arsols in No 10s fault when they are short of beds and short of ideas.
Insufficient PPE. Please wear face shield and goggles. Your life is at risk. Doctors, nurses and medical care workers all over the world are valuable 'human resources'. I thank you all the time. Thank you very much. LAK♡
