The 16-page document advises health workers not to use pronouns such as Mr and Mrs until they are confirmed by patients.

In one section titled Gender Identity, the guidelines state: "Asking someone who was assigned female at birth 'Are you Ms, Miss or Mrs?' carries with it an assumption that their gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth (i.e. cisgender." "Choosing words and phrases that don’t make assumptions about sexual orientation or gender identity creates a more supportive environment for individuals to be themselves."LGBT+ campaign group Stonewall penned a forward to the guidelines, stating: "We hope that these guidelines will be shared widely throughout the sector."

If a new GP or medic announced their pronouns before asking mine I would assume the care on offer was ideological & not evidence based - I would not visit them again. If they couldn’t immediately tell my biological sex - or pretended not to know - I would not visit them again.

Why do the minority get what they want? I literally don’t care if ye male or female, trans of whatever other pronoun, but why should the vast majority have to put up with this. I want to be called a male when seeing a doctor. What is wrong with that?
