Strikes, pay, and an ageing population are just some of the challenges the NHS has to address if it is going to continue to provide life long, free healthcare

In November 2022, Health SecretaryThey were employing more staff for NHS 111 and 999 services, focusing on urgent and emergency care, tackling delays in discharge from hospital, improving access to primary care, and investing in technology.

But he too has been under fire for outlining the Opposition's proposals for GP reform - saying a Labour government would"tear up the contract" with GPs and could make family doctors salaried NHS employees.Sajid Javid's proposal would see patients charged £20 fees for GP appointments and £66 for emergency visits without a referral. The idea will be met with fierce opposition from frontline medics.

"I want to see [extra funding] in social care, I want to see the right size of hospitals ... we've lost thousands of hospital beds over the last decade, but we need to work out as a population what the right number is.

Charge everyone!! People will think twice, three times, if they really need to go to A&E or if they can just put a plaster on. They should charge for an ambulance as well.

For free ? NI contributions and Tax deducted from every salary even if you work part time. But ok for this stupid Government to waste a billion quid on track and trace app, breathing equipment from China that was unfit for purpose, ministers awarding multi million pound contracts

This god dam awful tory scum have always wanted the NHS like the American model, I'm hoping the Great British public develop a backbone and protest against this nasty government that we have, every single policy or company privatised is failing we need rid of the Pm he's a

The government should fund it.. free for all

Soon this government (and the next) will take all our money and give us vouchers to live on.

The NHS was introduced in 1948 as free for everyone paid for by national insurance contributions. It is slowly being eroded away by privatisation . It was the envy of the world especially compared to the American system. It must be allowed to survive as it was intended.

A nominal fee should help relief some financial stress faced by the NHS. The disabled, long term ill, elderly and pensioners are not in a position to work and should be the only ones riding for free. Everyone else should pay.Have three kids, pay for three kids to see the doctor.

Everyone who voted Tory Boy to pay.

It’s not free though is it?! Most of us contribute to a service which is no longer fit for purpose!
