NHS advises people to be aware of deadly illnesses

The NHS is advising people to "be aware" in a bid to find a number of deadly illnesses as quickly as possible.

A post from UK healthcare system's official account on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday said: "If something in your body doesn’t feel right, and you’re worried it could be cancer, contact your GP practice.READ MORE: Diabetes symptoms as two warning signs show up in your mouth Part of an information page linked within in the post reads: "It's important to be aware of any new or worrying symptoms.

Around 1,000 people get a new cancer diagnosis each day in the UK alone, according to Cancer Research. The independent charity said: "Cancer that's diagnosed at an early stage, when it isn't too large and hasn't spread, is more likely to be treated successfully. "Spotting cancer at an early stage saves lives, so it is important to tell your doctor as soon as possible if you notice anything that isn't normal for you."
