It quotes the former health secretary Jeremy Hunt as asking why the UK is "hanging around" when evidence suggests vaccine effectiveness drops after six months.A wider booster campaign had been due to start on Monday but is now likely to be delayed, according to the Times. However, government sources tell the paper the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation will recommend a booster programme "very soon".
