New Tesco sandwich hailed 'next best thing' to classic favourite

Tesco has divided opinion with its new sandwich with views going from "April fool" to "banging". The Beechwood Ham, Egg & Chips sandwich is £3 and part of the Tesco Meal Deal.

One customer claimed "It's the next best thing to being down the caff. It tasted great! Have it with builder's tea! " But some posters on the Instragram page were united in their opinion - they didn't fancy the thought of "cold or soggy chips!" Aiden said: "Limited edition coz no sane person will want to buy cold chips in a sandwich." Clare said: "Cold soggy chips?" while chad added: "Cold chips? I'll pass."Others had tried out the sandwich and it had mixed reviews. Christine said: "Had one yesterday.. weird!!!! And not in a good way.
