New coronavirus closely linked to SARS-CoV-2 is discovered in bats in Thailand

A coronavirus related to the one causing the global pandemic has been discovered in the blood of five bats living in Thailand.

We know it originated in the bats, what we don't know is where the virus transferred into the community.

I can’t imagine why anyone would want to visit these countries.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with bats... Lab made virus

It has also been present for years in Vietnam China etc.. That's why they haven't been hit as hard, cos of pre existing immunity.
