New car registrations may drop more than 40%

But the Covid-19 outbreak has taken a heavy toll, forcing potential customers to stay at home for the past fortnight and reducing new registrations for the month by about 200,000 compared with the same period last year.The crisis has come at a difficult time for the industry, which was already suffering with falling sales and a collapse in demand for diesel vehicles, while struggling to meet tough new emissions targets.

The coronavirus outbreak has also halted car production. All of the UK's major car factories suspended work last month, and it is not yet clear when they will reopen.

This reporting will worsen a recession- isn’t it obvious that no-one will be buying new cars or new anything - every time someone hears stuff like this they become more reluctant to spend money - it’s not rocket science

THE. WORLD. DOESNT. NEED. ANY. MORE. POLLUTING. VEHICLES. OKAY? Does anyone listen to Mother Nature anymore? The earth is very sick and so are people. At least can we TRY for cleaner air and forget the stupid automobiles? They aren’t difficult to give up. Just renounce them. 🙋🏻‍♂️

Car sales are up in South Korea. After this 'silent war' with the 'hidden enemy' is over, Britain (UK) is gonna be a powerhouse. Especially with the European Union (EU) trade, military, courts and Migration Pact T.O.S.
