Almost nine out of 10 people who worked from home during theThe report, called ‘Homeworking in the UK: before and during the 2020 lockdown’ suggests many are not keen on going into the office – despite the GovernmentThe report, by academics at Cardiff University and the University of Southampton, said 88% of employees who worked at home during lockdown would like to continue doing so in some capacity, with 47% wanting to do so ‘often’ or even all the time.

‘These people are among the most productive, so preventing them from choosing how they work in the future does not make economic sense. About two-fifths said they got as much work done at home as they did six months earlier when most, but not all, were in their usual places of work.More than a quarter said they got more done at home, while 30% said their productivity had fallen.

The report said working from home in the UK rose from 6% of employees before the start of the pandemic up to 43% in April.

The 90% of which will actually be a small number! Are just TYPICALLY BRITISH! LAZY! it's WELL KNOWN the British are lazy! If they can get out of something they'll try!

More productive from home

Yep, definitely. Been happily working from home since March, been more productive than in the office. Happier and healthier. And loving being with my dog. No desire to risk life or health by getting onto public transport for 2 hours each day.

Happy to work from home less stress and saves money......money I can spend in my local community......see them thrive.........

I’ve had to go back for 2 out of 5 working days, I’d rather not have to do anymore than that.

Yet many of us have gone to work from day one.

I don't mind going back, it's the 530 alarm clock, 2 hour travel there and back and the hundreds of £ a months I'll be spending on travel that gets to me.
