. What was it like to explore a new musical direction?
I wrote this music on a bed of rhythm. Instead of chords and melodies, I would start with rhythm, and I could force myself to make the kind of album that I want to make. I also wanted to make an uptempo project – I have been threatening to make one since my first album came out in 2013.yourself. How did you find telling a story across a new medium?
N: Exactly. And it’s understanding boundaries, and that you don’t have to kill yourself to be seen as worthy of love. That you can receive love – that you can choose to receive love. That you don’t have to kill yourself chasing love. N: Success means being able to make what you love, and still being able to take care of people that you love, and yourself. That’s the most succinct answer I can give you.
