"I wish Mother's Day wasn't happening," says Shareen Dussard from London.Mother's Day takes on a different meaning if you have lost your mum.
"The most important thing is that people check in and make sure I'm okay, I will need that," she says. "You see loads of Mothering Sunday cards and gifts and you're just like 'oh wait, actually, she's just not here anymore.'"
22 years since my Mom died. Even though she is no longer here, she is still part of our lives.

Mum passed away 448 days ago. I visit her at cemetery everyday. Trying to go less but just have to at least stop by for a bit. I miss her so much.

my friend's baby girl was born sleeping at the end of November, so very sad , her first child, no bunch of flowers or card this morning just an empty heart for her and thousands like her.
17 years this year. Think about her every day. She was the best and it upsets me to think of all that she’s missed out on. Life is cruel, but that’s life.

Second one for me but Mum-in-Law died 1985( seems like yesterday) and still hurts..I volunteer at my local Hospice where Mum was to give thanks for the help and support we received..the watches belonged to the 2 Mums 🌹🌹💕💕
It gets harder as the years go on. As you get older, I think you need your mum more. I miss mine terribly every day. A death that I don’t think I will ever come to terms with. I have to pretend to enjoy Mother’s Day for the happiness of my own children.
