Some of my friends came round and said this isn’t good enough and they phoned as well.’ She received a call at 11.14pm – over two hours later – telling her that a clinician would call soon, a call that came through four hours after she first phoned 111. ‘I told them that a taxi would cost us £45. 111 said we must have family or friends who could take us, but I said if I didn’t think he needed to be seen I wouldn’t have rung you, and it turns out he’d snapped his wrist.At 3.19am on Friday morning, Jayne was told that an ambulance would be sent to her home to take Sidney to the hospital.But when it arrived two hours later, she claims she was less than impressed with the service she received.

Decent family / friends wouldn’t be bothered at being woken up god knows what time if a small child is in distress & needs to get to the hospital. As a parent, wether I have the money to spare or not, if it’s my only choice, I’d get a taxi! The entitlement here is astonishing 2/2
My 6 year old broke his elbow, we don’t drive, we didn’t even bother calling 111 when he did it. We could tell he needed to go get an X-ray. We immediately called on a family member to help us get him there. 1/2
I hope that kid remembers when it's time to choose his mother a care home.
