Mum transforms her ‘grotty’ stairs using paint and vinyl stickers from Dunelm and people can’t believe the difference

A SAVVY mum finally decided to revamp her ‘grotty’ stairs using a lick of paint and some Moroccan-inspired vinyl stickers.

Tracey Emma gave herself a lockdown project, splashing out £18 on some trendy tile stickers from Dunelm, and a tub of paint in a chic grey shade which costs £10 at B&Q.The mum had previously used the tile stickers in her bathroom, and was so impressed with them she bought a set for her stairs - in a different pattern.

She cut the stickers, called the Catalan Self Adhesive Backsplash Tiles, in half to fit her steps perfectly.Sharing her makeover to Facebook groupShe used self-adhesive tiles which were incredibly easy to stick on“A bit obsessed with these tiles as I previously used them to decorate our bathroom .“Just to clarify - the tiles are a 3d plastic tile so seem really good quality.

And for anyone worried about noise, Tracey added: “They are surprisingly quiet! Even with my stompy kids.”Grey slate Satin Metal & wood paint, B&Q, £10 -One person commented: “Looks great!
