A MUM was trampled to death by a herd of stampeding cows while walking her beloved dog.
Kathy McKellar, 74, was found dead in a field near her rented holiday cottage in Grindle, Lancashire surrounded by 25 Limousin cows, as well as calves and bulls.The cottage's owner, John Turner, came across her cockapoo Archie, who had made his way back to the cottage, on September 25 2022.The next morning, while checking his cattle, John found her body in one of his field.
Kathy was pronounced dead at the scene, with a post-mortem CT revealing that she died from traumatic chest injuries.
Well walkers need to respect livestock in feilds i go walking along northumberland coast but very aware its national trust land and livestock graze it .
It is very sad indeed but, nobody should be walking their dogs through a field of live stock. In fact just don't walk through a livestock field full stop. Read the countryside code.
