Meghan Gallacher and a Dogs Trust rescue dog will compete with other politicians and their canine companions to win the coveted title of Holyrood Dog of the Year.
The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.Organised jointly by Dogs Trust and The Kennel Club, the competition offers the chance for Central Scotland MSP Ms Gallacher to show off her four-legged friend and celebrates the unique bond between dogs and owners.
Ms Gallacher, from Bellshill, said: "I took part in Holyrood Dog of the Year in 2023, so once I found out there was an opportunity to be involved again, it was a no-brainer. "Not all four-legged companions are given the best start in life, so being able to showcase these animals in such a way where all the fuss is on them, really warms the heart and gives them the attention they so desperately deserve.MSPs are also calling on their supporters to vote for them online, in a bid to win the ‘pawblic’ vote, with additional judging on the day which will review the contestants on their good dog deeds and winning personalities.
