Ms Marvel: Trailblazing Muslim superhero goes gaming

This opened the door for a new character to become Ms Marvel.

Muslim characters in video games have appeared in significant roles in recent years, so this is far from the first time you can play as a Muslim character. Sitara believes Ms Marvel is far more representative of what young Muslims are actually like, and says the Kamala Khan character reminds her of her own niece.Marvel editor and director Sana Amanat co-created Kamala Khan in 2014

Really

Awesome.

The amount of ignorant comments on here is ridiculous. This is the first modern representation of a Pakistani main character and people are acting as if the developers are jumping on some kind of worn out bandwagon. Plus the character herself was created 6 years ago 🙄

'It's the representation in gaming I've waited for my whole life.' Isn't it a bit racist if you need someone to look like you before you can relate to them?

On the game would be more interesting.

Bending the knee to sectarianism and positive racist decrimination. Do not remember any super heroes or villains being from any religion. Thanos was not a good religious observer. So now do we expect mecca to get destroyed by aliens......imagine bingo fans gutted!.

If the emphasis is on her religion, where is there even a mention of any other characters religion? Why couldn't she just be an Asian character? Why do Asians have to be represented by a religion?

Drawings of people are haram.

Lots of explosions and beheadings then.

What’s her special power? Suicide belt?

Will be interesting to see how her religion is woven into the story, or if it is necessary at all plot-wise. Especially given Marvel's larger than life villains have usually nothing to do with religion.

super power. suicide belt and cutting off infidels' heads.

Excellent, good to see this!

Why even bother? Its not like her religion is going to play apart in the game. I mean is their going to be a stage wear she performs morning prayer or reads to Koran? Its just a pointless virtue-al signalling and a way to look progressive and diverse for the woke crowd.

She's been around in Marvel since 2013, but this headline is still going to trigger the hard of thinking, isn't it? Mutants, aliens, literal Norse gods are all fair game, but a 16 year old Muslim girl from New Jersey is apparently a bridge too far for some.

His superpower - Avoiding jail time whilst appearing to be the victim.

Pfhahahaha - good luck with that WOKE nonsense! 😂🤣

One to swerve

The world is changing 😂😂

Name one identifiably Christian superhero. Just one.
