The government has set out plans to restart England's housing market, which has been in deep freeze since the coronavirus lockdown.
"This critical industry can now safely move forward, and those waiting patiently to move can now do so."Home viewings are not permitted under lockdown regulations and their land registries are either running a reduced service or are not registering transactions.
Providing support for smaller developers by allowing them to defer payments to local councils to ease cash flow Mr Jenrick said guidance from Public Health England must continue to be followed. For example, anyone advised to self-isolate should continue to do so and not move home. Expect a lot more haggling over price from both sides who have yet to have formally agreed what they will pay or accept, especially if getting a mortgage is harder.
The new guidance includes the permission for trades people to operate in homes, providing they follow social distancing advice.

Good news let's get the economy moving.
Let’s get all shops open now. What’s happening is ridiculous.
How to visit your parents......... Get a For Sale sign and put it up in their garden...... then when you leave take it away with you......
house viewings ok but not family over?
Is house viewing classified as essential
BBC helped push the hysteria that killed jobs and the housing market
Which goes against Govt advice about letting people into your homes. Estate agents and viewers. Yet another badly thought out decision but of course property sales makes money.
Oh cool, haven't earned any money since February but yeah, let's buy a fucking house.
This does add to the confusion of who can visit who as part of the family doesn't it ? Is there more detail on how it will be worked eg. One person at a time with / without an agent or Vendor present

Offer was accepted on ours literally the day before lockdown was announced. It’s been a slow process with solicitors and surveyors and stuff but not awful
