A motorbike rider suffered serious injuries in a horror crash on the A9 on Saturday where he was rushed to hospital by air ambulance.
Police and Ambulance attended and the 49-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries. The incident brought huge disruption to the Highlands on Saturday with motorists reporting that they had been at standstill for hours for most of the day. A diversion was also brought to gridlock. The A9 and re-opened around 5pm.
