Motherwell appeal 'laughable' red card against Aberdeen

The on-loan Blackburn Rovers player was sent off by referee Craig Napier after 56 minutes for a challenge on Jack MacKenzie.Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell branded the decision"laughable" as he suggested a formal appeal would be made over the red card.A statement on the club website read: "We can confirm we have appealed the red card shown to Jack Vale on Saturday against Aberdeen.On the decision, Kettlewell said “For me it’s laughable.

“We will put a still on it and say his leg is straight and all that nonsense. He has got to the ball first, I think you have to check up when you see the Motherwell player has made contact with the ball. “I can only tell you my gut feeling, and people will see it different ways, my first reaction was just to start laughing. I couldn’t believe it was given as a red card.
