It is certainly true that staff need to be trained in recognising difference between cultures and races to ensure the care they receive is equivalent. I’m not sure it’s racism. Maybe that’s just semantics. Yup, my daughter faced this when she had her son....but she is white. The father of her son is black and the black midwives refused to talk to her, only to the father....
