Morning Live’s Rav Wilding’s love life from painful split to becoming a dad

Rav Wilding's family life looks idyllic, with a happy marriage and an adorable daughter but the BBC Morning Live presenter has had a bumpy ride to get there.

Rav's first high-profile romance was with air hostess Lauren Alcorn, who also counts Rio Ferdinand amongst her exes. She and Rav were engaged, but never married and eventually split in 2009, with Rav hinting to the Daily Star in 2008 that living separately was causing a strain. Turbulent romance with Chantelle Houghton Crimewatch star Rav's most memorable romance might have lasted less than six months, but hit the headlines over a bitter row that led to a break-up. He dated Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton from late 2010 to 2011, but the couple had hinted at issues around Chantelle's previous marriage to Ordinary Boys star Preston who she met in the Big Brother house.

Things ended badly when the pair were spotted having a romantic picnic in London's Richmond Park that went horribly wrong as a photographer snapped pictures of the row. Rav and Chantelle quickly went from kissing to arguing, with Rav grabbing his girlfriend's arm at one point, and shouting and pointing at her as she cried.

But Chantelle told The Mirror: "You give six months of your life to someone – you don’t expect this treatment. Everyone could see it was aggressive. I’ve had such a horrible week – it’s been the toughest of my life. For a girl, especially, it’s been horrible. No girl wants to go through this. I find it really painful to talk about. I’m hurt - and I don’t feel good at the moment."

"She has been so supportive during this whole ordeal and all I want to do is show my commitment to her, and even that's been taken away. It's on hold indefinitely at the moment until we can get back on track."
