More than £500,000 has been set aside as part of Renfrewshire Council’s fight against poverty amid the brutal cost-of-living crisis.

A total of £40,000 has been earmarked to sustain support to the energy management unit, helping people to reduce their energy bills, manage fuel debt and improve energy efficiency in their homes. Councillor Graeme Clark, vice chair of the sub-committee, told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: “I’ve always supported breakfast clubs.
