Holidaymakers face yet more travel disruption as airlines plan a new wave of cancellations while bracing for further strikes.
More flights from the UK are also set to be cancelled over summer after airlines were told to come up with a realistic schedule to avoid theUsually, if too many flights are cancelled then airlines will be penalised for not using their allocated runway slot, and can have it taken away from them. But it is understood that flights cancelled or removed from airline schedules after the Friday deadline will not fall under the slot amnesty.
‘We encourage airlines to take this opportunity to reconsider their summer schedules without penalty and inform passengers as early as possible of any changes.’
So what cunning taxpayer-funded national and local world-beating celebrations are being hatched by greedy Boris & Co to mark the first anniversary of, er, Freedom Day (sic) then?
